Ms. Rozina Jumani

Rozina Jumani is heading The Language Centre, within FLAHS. As an Assistant Professor & Academic Coordinator, she has been engaged in Human development initiatives, faculty development and mentoring and teaching post graduate and undergraduate programs since 2007.

She has an MPhil, MA in Education & International Development from IOE- UCL London, MA in Linguistics from University of Karachi, MA in Islamic Studies, and Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management from Aga Khan University-Institute for Educational Development. She led Pakistan in IVLP Program titled- Transitioning into ONLINE Learning in Georgia, Atlanta; Austin, Texas & Washington DC (USA)She is also a fellow at University of Oregon (USA) and completed her ‘Critical Thinking in Language Learning and Teachingprogram.

As a Development Consultant Strategic Planning & Capacity Building, she has been associated with education, training and development for the past two decades. Ms. Jumani has been developing programs for private, NGOs and government institutions. In particular, she has conducted professional development programs for novice and experienced professionals for private and public institutions.

There are several books and academic and research work on her credit and presented papers in national and international conferences and summits. She led early years Curriculum Development projects for the ministry of education and led monitoring and evaluation teams for institutional audits as well.

In her voluntary capacity, she serves as Chairperson, Aga Khan Education Board; also she is a Lead Facilitator of British Council Pakistan for its Active Citizen Project, EDGE Project; AWAZ II Project and GYM Project and WiL (Women in Leadership) Program for Southern Region.

Her research interests include intellectual traditions in Islam, Islam and Mysticism, Critical Pedagogy in teaching, Comparative teaching in literature and language development, Leadership for Human Development.

Ms. Yusra Jawaid

Ms. Yusra Jawaid is a Lecturer at The Language Centre of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences since May 2021. Before joining Ziauddin University she worked as an Assistant Manager Quality Control at Information Technology Services. Besides that, she has been engaged in content and research-based writing.

She has earned her Master’s degree in English Linguistics from the University of Karachi. Her research and teaching interests include Media Discourse Analysis and English Language Teaching (ELT).

Ms. Syeda Maryam Zaidi

Ms. Syeda Maryam Zaidi has been associated with various universities including Bahria University, University of Karachi, NEDUET University, and Usman Institute of Technology for more than eight years. Recently she re-joined Ziauddin University as a lecturer. She holds M.A (English Literature), M.A (English Linguistics) and MAS(HR) from the University of Karachi.

Her research interests include Folklore Studies, Ancient Near-East studies and written communication in ESL students. She presented her paper at an international conference of classical studies in December 2021 at Ostim University, Turkey. Currently, she is working on a project focusing on Regional folklore with Prof Simon J Bronner (University of Wisconsin).

Ghulam Nabi Memon

Mr. Ghulam Nabi Memon is a lecturer at TLC, Ziauddin University. He has done Masters in English Literature and Applied Linguistics from the NUML University, he has been a part of TLC since February 2023 and is highly passionate about educating others. Being a literature and Linguistics degree holder and an enthusiastic learner, Mr. Ghulam research interests lie in the domains of English Linguistics, from The Efficacy of Grammar Translation Method in Pakistan to Teaching Methodology, Literature, Philosophy, History, and Political Science.
Previously, Mr. Ghulam has taught at various academic institutes. Besides, he has extensive experience in content writing, article writing, Book editing and Translation in which he has served within multiple industries and niches.

Apart from that, Mr. Ghulam is a human rights activist, he has been serving as a Secretary General in People’s Human Rights Organization on volunteer basis. He has been writing articles on Hub-pages for the last three years and he has written more than 72 articles on different range of topics.

Moreover, Mr. Ghulam is an author and Editor on Amazon where he has written 13 eBooks including one paperback, available on Amazon Kindle.

Muhammad Sohail

Mr. Muhammad Sohail is a lecturer of English at the TLC, Ziauddin University. He has done his masters in English Language Teaching from the National University of Modern Languages, with his research in the domain of Communicative Language Teaching in Karachi. Apart from his MA, he also holds a Trinity certificate in TESOL from ECM College, Ireland. Adding on to his experience, he is also an experienced IELTS Coach. At present, he is pursuing his MPhil in English from Iqra University.

Muhammad Yaseen

Muhammad Yaseen has been working as an English lecturer at the TLC, Ziauddin University since November 2022. He has earned his Master’s degree in English literature from Shah Abdul University Khairpur and is currently pursuing his M.Phil. in English literature and linguistics from Iqra University Karachi. He possesses ten years of teaching experience as an English language teacher. In addition, he has remained a part of the US Embassy Pakistan ACCESS program. As an ELT teacher, he holds a strong ability to incorporate various concepts of language and literature with philosophical evolutions of different literary texts.

Sajid Naqvi

Mr. Sajid Naqvi is an English lecturer at the TLC, Ziauddin University. He has done his Master’s in English Language Teaching from the National University of Modern Languages with his research in the domain of Listening Issues among IELTS Students in Pakistan. Apart from being associated with different academic institutes, he has also been an IELTS trainer.
Besides teaching and training, he has been a professional content writer for various US-based firms.

Bakhtawer Daudpota

Ms. Bakhtawer Daudpota works as a Lecturer in English at TLC, Ziauddin University. She holds BS in English from University of Sindh, Jamshoro and an MS in English Linguistics from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. Her research interests include Socio-linguistics and Psycho-linguistics.

Masroor Ahmed

Mr. Masroor Ahmed became part of TLC, Ziauddin University in Nov 2022. He has earned his bachelor’s degree in linguistics and is currently pursuing his M.Phil in applied Linguistics from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro. Since 2018 he embarked on the journey of teaching and has rendered his services in various colleges where he has been nominated for various awards.

Being a researcher in the field of linguistics, he is currently working on phonetics and phonology as his research area. He is a compassionate and result-oriented teacher with more than five years of teaching experience in managing the large-sized classrooms.
